cbm co-workers in West Africa

cbm co-workers Neil and Tania Murray provide stories of their personal experiences of working in West Africa as medical and technical advisors. It sheds light into both the challenges of working in the region and the positive outcomes that hard work and dedication can bring.  The husband and wife team from New Zealand provide a glimpse into life with the double disadvantage of poverty and disability.

Neil Murray is an opthalmologist and his wife Tania a hospital administrator.  For nearly three years, they provided medical and technical expertise to a new eye hospital in Togo, called John Paul II Eye Hospital, and provided assistance to projects across 14 other countries in West Africa.  The following exerpts are from those experiences.

You can also read the World Sight Day article about the Murrays.
