Laguna Community Based Rehabilitation Project
Originally a vocational training programme in the capital city, this project now operates in the Laguna Province of the Philippines, an hour's drive from Manila. Cross Foundation Agency for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, the partner, covers six of the 29 municipal areas of Laguna. Community-based rehabilitation started in 1990, with help from cbm co-workers. The project's strength is in working with person with physical disabilities. Cross disability work is now increasing - other services include blindness and hearing impairment prevention programmes.
