This is a small residential primary school for visually impaired, located in the UsambaraMountains. Low vision services are being developed. Craft training and agriculture are also being taught.
Mwanza Region Prevention of Blindness Programme
This eye department is located within the Sengerema Hospital, some 30km from the large urban centre of Mwanza along the southern shores of Lake Victoria. A government seconded Cataract Surgeon is the program head. An urban eye service has been developed through collaboration with the large government hospital Sekou Traore where a dedicated eye theatre and out patient have been provided.

CCBRT is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s biggest city. The organisation and their disability hospital serve a total population of 3,000,000 million people living in Dar es Salaam and 7,000,000 in the surrounding regions of Pwani, Morogoro, Tanga, Zanzibar and Pemba. They offer medical services in maternal and child health care, obstetric fistula (VVF), club foot, cleft lip, hydrocephalus/spina bifida, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and cataracts. CCBRT is a multifaceted organisation offering a wide range of affordable, high quality services ranging from community based rehabilitation, legal aid, and specialised preventive and curative medical services provided by the CCBRT disability hospital. They adopt a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation is essential so there is a long lasting impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities and HIV/Aids orphaned children. CBMNZ also supports the Manzese Day Care Center, offering child care services to mothers and caregivers of children with disabilities. The Centre also serves as a community hub for mobility training, a meeting place for Self Help Groups and Health Education classes.
