This newly created CBR Programme is owned by the Evangelical Church of Guinea-Bissau (Igrega Evangelica de Guine Bissau) and initially will be confined to the city of Bissau. It is planned that the project will work through committees and volunteers in the different partner churches. Initially, much emphasis will be to identify and transfer patients to the eye care programme owned by the same partner, but in the future, a full range of services is envisaged working with stakeholders already in place. A cbm co-worker is seconded to the partner to assist with establishing the project.
