To the people of Christchurch, our heartfelt messageWe cannot imagine the devastation and as the tragedy unfolds we want you know that you and your loved ones are in our thoughts and in our prayers. These events again remind us how vulnerable we are. We pray for those who have died and their families. We pray for the rescue workers, that they find the strength and resilience to work hastily and effectively to find those trapped. We pray for the agencies that they have the resources they need to ease the plight of those in need. We pray for our supporters and for those living with a disability. We ask that even at this time you can think about others that may be experiencing even greater difficulty having lost their homes, still seeking to find loved ones or dealing with increased inaccessibility. We pray that you will be aware of God's presence and find comfort in that knowledge and feel his arms around you. |
