Launch of the World Report on Disability![]() The World Report on Disability will be launched on 9 June 2011 at the United Nations building in New York. cbm has supported the WHO in a variety of ways during development of the report, and this website will bring live news of the launch plus a first analysis of the document itself. What is the World Report on Disability? The World Report on Disability summarises the best available scientific evidence on disability and makes recommendations for action in support of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). It explores current evidence about disability, identifies needs, and highlights what works to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities in areas including health, rehabilitation, support, environments, education and employment. The report was mandated by the World Health Assembly, jointly published by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank, and will be launched on 9 June 2011 in Geneva.
