Vincent's Story

It broke his mother’s heart every time Fred came running home in tears, covering his face. Children with cleft palate are called horrible things ... like ‘monster’. He was too frightened to ever go to school. |
Vincent lost both his parents to HIV/AIDS. He misses them dreadfully.

For a child living in poverty and disability, like Fred and Vincent, the best way you can help is to become a cbm Child Disability Sponsor.
It means signing up for a monthly gift of $30. Each month your gift will provide life-saving medical intervention and ongoing care.
For Fred and Vincent, that means an operation (which their desperately poor families could never afford), plus on-going care which includes help to catch up at school. Because their families are so poor, cbm's plan also includes help and advice on ways to improve their income.
Children living in poverty with disability cannot see, cannot here, cannot play or dance ... but with your help they can shine.
